ABOUT THE 2023 KEYNOTE SPEAKER:

Matthew Nordman is the Chief Financial Officer for Nationwide Insurance’s Pet Insurance business. He is responsible for financial reporting, planning and analysis, decision support, and product pricing, helping the business protect over one million pets across America. He is privileged to lead a driven, creative, and joy-filled team of financial professionals and actuaries, helping shape the future of a still-young industry. Prior to this role, he served as Finance Director for Nationwide’s financial services business, leading a team responsible for planning and reporting of expenses and strategic investments.

His other previous roles as Nationwide include supporting the financial services sales teams with financial analysis and KPI reporting on technology investments to improve sales and marketing effectiveness. He joined Nationwide through the Finance Leadership Rotational Program, where he interned during the Full-Time MBA program at Fisher, and enjoyed learning through experiences in Private Debt Investments, Internet Distribution of Commercial Lines, and Financial Services Sales. Prior to joining Nationwide, Matthew worked at General Mills in Minneapolis in various corporate finance roles, where he developed a passion for business partnership through a financial lens. He is a proud graduate of Fisher’s Full-Time MBA program at THE Ohio State University (2017) and earned his Bachelor’s degrees in Finance and Accounting at Washington University in St. Louis.

Matthew considers it a joy to serve on the board as Treasurer of Divine Dignity, an organization dedicated to providing hygiene products to neighbors in need across Central Ohio, as well as a member of the Fisher FTMBA Alumni Council. Outside of work, he is a proud husband to Gwen, father to Abigail and Micah, is actively involved in his church, enjoys running and poetry, and tries to avoid embarrassing his children by cheering too loudly for them at dance recitals and basketball games.
