Red Carpet Weekend
Each year, Fisher hosts an exclusive Red Carpet event for admitted Full-Time MBA students to get them excited about the Fisher MBA experience and to meet future classmates. Students connect with classmates and alumni during a reception at Ohio Stadium (with a tour), see Fisher's campus, participate in faculty, employer, and career management sessions, and learn about available opportunities. We strongly encourage admitted Full-Time MBA students to attend this on-campus event. Below you will find a sneak peek of the agenda and information about travel.

Friday, April 4, 2025 (Eastern Time)
- 4:00 PM: Check-in, Blackwell Lobby (tip: arrive early to explore housing options)
- Campus Tour (optional)
- 5:15 PM to 7:30 PM Welcome Reception and Networking at the Ohio Stadium - University Suite (stadium tour included)
Saturday, April 5, 2025 (Eastern Time)
- 9:00 AM: Breakfast Talk (career-focused)
- Welcome from Dean's Team
- Keynote Speaker (TBA)
- Employer Panel & Insights with Fisher's Office of Career Management
- 1st-year student experience and Q&A
- Lunch with current MBA students & council (12:30 PM)
- 1:45 PM: Mock class (Ends 2:30 PM ET)
- Optional: After the mock class, join us for drinks (casual social gathering) at Varsity Club
Invites to RSVP for this fantastic event are sent to admitted students. You can also find the link to RSVP on your application portal home page. Ensure you have saved the date on your calendar and started planning travel per the instructions below.
What about hotel and travel?
Book early! Local events in Columbus may cause hotels to fill up quickly.
* You must be at least 50+ miles from our Columbus campus to be eligible for hotel and/or travel reimbursement. Reserve standard rooms only (one night only) at the Best Rate Guaranteed (Deluxe King or Queen Beds). Valet and Breakfast Buffet charges are not covered. Travel stipend requests require valid receipts and are subject to Fisher approval.
How to Book Your Room *: Fisher recommends that students stay at The Blackwell hotel for this event, which is part of Fisher's business campus. Admitted students who book a room at The Blackwell must send their confirmation information to fishergrad@fisher.osu.edu so that the room cost is covered for you by Fisher. Your card will remain on file for incidentals. There are some great alternate hotels, as well. Those that book at an alternate hotel themselves will need to provide receipts. See below for travel stipend information.

† Looking for an alternative to using Uber/Lyft? Hotel shuttle service up to ~3 miles may be available based on availability.
Available Travel Stipend*: Those booked at The Blackwell hotel are eligible for a travel stipend of up to $500 to help with flight and/or transportation. If you stay at an alternate hotel, the travel stipend** limit is increased to up to $700. Receipts must be emailed to fishergrad@fisher.osu.edu within a week of the event's conclusion. Please plan for any Uber/Lyft use to get to campus and save those receipts, as well. The listed alternate hotels are close to campus. Those requesting a stipend will also need to complete some paperwork at the event.
Can my spouse or significant other come? Yes. The travel stipend limit is increased by an additional $200 for those choosing to bring a spouse or significant other.
