Department of Management and Human Resources

Organizations are finding that they must compete in an increasingly fast-paced, competitive, and international environment. In the Department of Management and Human Resources, the faculty are interested in exploring the ways in which organizations become competitive by understanding the dynamics of the international environment, the problems of growth, and the complexity associated with managing individuals. These interests are manifest in basic research, teaching in our various degree programs, executive education seminars, and in faculty consulting.
Specifically, faculty in the Department of Management and Human Resources are active in research and teaching in five major areas:
- Entrepreneurship
- Human Resources
- International Business
- Organizational Behavior
- Strategy
These are the traditional areas but as can be seen in their activities, the department encourages collaboration among all the faculty and its students.
The diversity of perspectives and backgrounds provides a fertile ground for innovation in both research and teaching.
