  • Chase Chair

    Position: Chase Chair for Excellence in Strategy and Professor of Management and Human Resources

    Location: Columbus, Ohio

    The Department of Management and Human Resources, Fisher College of Business, The Ohio State University, is searching for a distinguished scholar for the Chase Chair for Excellence in Strategy. This is a full-time, tenure track appointment, to begin autumn semester 2020. Candidates must have an outstanding record of scholarly accomplishment and have demonstrated leadership ability. The holder of the Chase Chair will be expected to produce high quality research, be involved in collaborative research efforts with other faculty and PhD students, and provide leadership in research, teaching, and service both within the college and within the field of strategy.

    Ph.D. (or equivalent) is required, as is a distinguished publication record that places the candidate among the leaders in the field. Teaching and service records must also be at the highest level. The Fisher College is not currently committed to any particular area of research, theory, or methodological approach and is open to applications from any scholar asking research questions that are at the core of the strategy field. Salary and teaching load are highly competitive and are commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications.

  • Position: Tenure Track Faculty in Organizational Behavior

    Position: Tenure Track Faculty in Organizational Behavior
    Institution: Fisher College, Ohio State University
    Location: Columbus, Ohio

    The Department of Management and Human Resources (MHR), Fisher College of Business, The Ohio State University, seeks applicants for a faculty appointment in Organizational Behavior with research and teaching interests in leadership. This will be a full-time, tenure track appointment, to begin Fall semester 2020. The salary and teaching load will be competitive with other major research institutions.

    Tenure-track faculty in MHR are expected to conduct cutting-edge research that is disseminated in premier management and disciplinary journals, teach courses that are firmly grounded in evidence, and provide service on behalf of the department, college, and profession.

    We plan on hiring at the Assistant or Associate rank and preference will be given to individuals with a Ph.D. in hand, a publication record commensurate with experience, and an interest in and ability to contribute to programming offered by the Fisher Leadership Initiative (FLI). The FLI is a unit within the Fisher College that has as its mission to be the world's leader in connecting leadership research to experiential leader development and practical solutions to leadership problems.
