Before you even arrive on campus, the Office of Career Management will be there to help you develop your strategy and provide the tools necessary to execute your internship and job search. As an incoming student, you will work with a dedicated MBA career coach/job search consultant every step of the way.
Your career search will be a critical piece of your MBA experience and will be one of the most rewarding endeavors. You will learn a great deal about yourself and the opportunities available to you. Some of those opportunities include:
Career Consultation and Engagement – A discipline-specific consultant will assist you with clarifying your career goals, develop your marketing plan, refining your resume/cover letter, and preparing you for interviewing, networking, negotiating and more.
Career Core – A series of online modules and assignments before your program begins, and in-person discussions and presentations during orientation.
Career Foundation Seminars – A series of interactive, career-focused experiences designed to expose you to a variety of careers based upon your curriculum and career focus. These programs include a diverse group of business professionals, Fisher faculty, staff, alumni participating in presentations and panel discussions related to careers in their area.
Career Success Series – Specific career-focused workshops designed to help you become the best-prepared job seeker. Topics will vary and may include: networking and interviewing practice, hands-on use of job search tools, U.S. work authorization, job offer negotiations, and more.
Events – Students will stay active with their job search with the help of on-campus recruiting, Fisher-sponsored career fairs, networking events, and industry specific info sessions and group trips.
Global Connections – Personalized plans and networks for global job searches—not just in the United States. Support comes through our international Alumni Network, our partnership with OSU's Global Gateways, Lockin China career fairs, and more.
