Risk Institute Events

The Risk Institute's events and programs advance enterprise risk management knowledge and foster a dynamic network of risk management practitioners and leaders to share knowledge and best practices. These sessions enhance professional expertise and offer CPE credits, making them an invaluable resource for career development.

  • Risk Series: Our longstanding speaker series focuses on emerging risks and key topics in enterprise risk management. Held throughout the academic year, these free events feature panels, fireside chats, hand-on trainings and case studies.
  • Workstreams: These cohort-style sessions explore emerging risk topics and real-world examples. By collaborating with a diverse group of professionals, subject-matter experts and Fisher College of Business faculty, participants gain insight, skills and a network of peers from various industries who are interested in emerging risk issues.
  • Executive Roundtables: Quarterly sessions provide a non-competitive space for Chief Risk Officers and other senior risk-focused leaders to discuss emerging risks and enterprise risk management best practices. These roundtables facilitate high-level discussions on issues that are top of mind for organizations across a wide range of industries. Please contact us for more information and upcoming session dates.

Feb. 26 | Resiliency Planning: Tabletop Exercises

When: Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2025 | 8 a.m.-noon
Where: Mason Hall Rotunda, 2nd Floor, 250 W. Woodruff Ave. Columbus, OH  43201

Resiliency is the key to organizational success. In an unpredictable world, the next "event" could strike at any moment. We may not know what it will be, where it will occur or who will be affected, but we do know that having robust plans in place is crucial for business continuity.

Join our spring resiliency Workstream cohort for a hands-on session on resiliency and resilience planning led by experts from Risk Institute member company Kyndryl’s security and resiliency practice.

Highlights

  • Standardized Tabletop Exercise: Work in pods, assume roles and navigate a simulated incident to practice communication plans, team alignment and policy execution.
  • Cyber Incident Recovery Planning: Analyze the simulated incident, identify strengths and weaknesses and prioritize a response plan for your company.
