Nationwide Center Receives National Award
Since opening its doors in 2008, the Nationwide Center for Advanced Customer Insights has demonstrated how the academic and business worlds can benefit from strong partnerships.

Now, the ongoing work of the center has been recognized with a prestigious award.

The center was the recipient of the 2011 SPAIG (Statistical Partnerships among Academe, Industry, and Government) Award, presented by American Statistical Association, the world’s largest community of statisticians. The award recognizes “outstanding partnerships between academe and business, industry, and government organizations.”

“The committee was impressed by the multidisciplinary relationship between Ohio State and Nationwide … The impressive number of graduate students and faculty supported by Nationwide as well as the hiring of Ohio State graduates indicates that the partnership is highly valued by both entities.”

SPAIG award chair Jessica L. Thompson

Other academic institutions that have received the SPAIG Award, established in 2002, include Harvard University, University of Michigan, and University of Pennsylvania.
