Fintech is a dynamic and rapidly scaling field in which limitless opportunities exist at the intersection of the finance and technology industries. Home to several of the world’s leading fintech experts, The Ohio State University is dedicated to expanding boundaries and elevating this exciting and convergent area through research, business and community partnerships, experiential learning and education and beyond. By continuing to invest in a greater understanding of this growing field, Ohio State is creating lasting impact on fintech, its workforce development and the next generation of industry leaders.

Thanks to a generous gift from Fintech71, The Ohio State University Max M. Fisher College of Business is hosted the inaugural, two-day virtual conference to bring together entrepreneurs, corporate professionals, faculty and staff, students and the community to grow their Fintech knowledge, recruit top talent or preview Ohio State’s plans to lead in the Fintech ecosystem.

The free event held virtually on October 27 and 28, explored research and analysis from Ohio State’s globally renowned faculty, industry insights from accomplished fintech corporate leaders and connected the current Fintech industry with the students preparing to become tomorrow’s fintech entrepreneurs and professionals.

The first part of the conference highlighted opportunities and trends in fintech and featured industry and academic leaders, including Drive Capital’s Mark Kvamme, Lower.com’s Dan Snyder and Ohio State’s René Stulz. The second part of the conference focused on innovations and provided insights into the changes, needs and workforce skills required to succeed in fintech. Industry and academic leaders highlighted blockchain, artificial intelligence, startups and how to incorporate fintech into your corporate culture.
