We’re excited to walk with you as you begin your journey as a Business Buckeye. Orientation is your first step toward becoming part of a vibrant community. You’ll connect with fellow students, learn about life on campus, explore academic resources and prepare to make the most of your time at Fisher and Ohio State. From learning about Buckeye traditions to building your first-semester schedule, we’re here to support you every step of the way. 

What to expect from orientation at Fisher

Before you arrive, it’s important to understand how orientation works for new students. Orientation programs vary based on the term you’re entering and whether you are a first-year or transfer student, ensuring you receive the guidance and support that best fits your path to Fisher and Ohio State.


First-year students

Take part in a two-day orientation designed to prepare you for Ohio State and Fisher. You’ll explore campus resources, connect with the Fisher community, meet your academic advisor and schedule your first-semester classes.



Transfer students

Participate in a virtual orientation designed around your individual academic path and transition to Fisher. You’ll meet one-on-one with an advisor to review transfer credits, degree requirements and select courses for your first semester.

Orientation introduces you to many of the resources and opportunities available at Fisher. To help you make the most of your orientation experience, we invite you to start exploring Fisher at your own pace before you arrive. These optional resources will help you begin to understand what makes the undergraduate experience at Fisher College of Business unique, from academics and hands-on learning to leadership, career preparation and community. Think of this as a preview of your journey as a Business Buckeye at The Ohio State University.
