Meet Ekima Roper-Smith (BSBA '06)
Ekima's journey to entrepreneurship began over 12 years ago when she began to plan her son's first birthday party. She remembers thinking how cool it would be if there was a one-stop-shop for kid's parties where everything was planned for parents and all they had to do was show up. In that moment, a business was born. Through The Five Party & Event Center, Ekima is able to leverage her degree from Fisher and her background in finance and accounting to live out her passion for event designing and planning.

Rismiller Professorship in Finance. In 1995, he became a trusted voice on the Dean's Advisory Council. Most recently, Dave and his wife Anne created the David A. Rismiller Sr. International Scholarship Fund to support global experiences for Fisher students.

Governor Gavin Newsom announced today that Joseph Rosenbaum, 65, of Sausalito, has been appointed to the California Board of Accountancy. President of Rosenbaum & Co. since 2011, Rosenbaum was chair of the Enforcement Advisory Committee at the California Board of Accountancy from 2014 to 2020. Rosenbaum is a member of the California Society of CPAs. He earned a bachelor's degree, Master of Business Administration degree and a Juris Doctor degree from The Ohio State University.
