IT Business Strategy
Given how important technology is to any business, IT professionals must know how to develop an IT strategy that meets the needs of the business and aligns with the organizational strategy. This program will provide the participants with the tools to understand the foundations of organizational strategy, including industry analysis, creating competitive advantage, and assessing industry-related and firm-related sources of superior economic performance. Participants will develop industry awareness and learn how to leverage it to create effective strategies from an IT perspective.
Traditionally focused on managing IT infrastructure, IT professionals are now at the forefront of innovation driven by digital transformation. The program will provide the participants with the frameworks to understand the digital transformation process and how it changes the traditional roles and responsibilities of IT business managers. An important aspect of digital transformation involves understanding platform-based business models that underline the success of many of today’s biggest, fastest growing, and most powerful companies. Participants will learn the economics of digital platforms and how they challenge the traditional assumptions about business and strategy.
Throughout the program, participants will engage in case studies, experiential exercises and discussions with industry experts to work through the process of developing an IT Strategy.
