    Eligibility and notification of scholarship awards, incoming Ohio State Students

    Fisher College of Business Undergraduate Program offers competitive recruitment scholarships to incoming freshmen students enrolled on the Columbus campus who apply to the university by November 1st. Students must be U.S. citizens, admitted to pre-major or major program in Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University for Autumn 2017. Awards may be renewable, as determined by the selection committee.  Awards will appear in financial aid packages from the Office of Student Financial Aid, prior to the May 1 acceptance fee deadline.

    Fisher Merit Awards

    The Fisher College of Business Merit Scholarship Application will be used to select students for merit scholarship awards, as identified by our generous donors.  Merit award amounts are modest, and are intended to recognize scholarship and leadership. To be eligible for select merit awards students must:

    1. Have a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA at the end of autumn 2016. 

    2. Be admitted to Fisher College major & specialization by spring 2017. 

    3. Be graduating SU17, AU17, SP18, SU18, AU18 or SP19 (juniors & seniors only)

    Fisher Need-Based Awards

    The Fisher College of Business financial-need scholarship application will be used to select students for need-based scholarship awards.  Need based awards are modest, and are intended as an investment by the college in business students.  Consideration for need based awards require: 

    1. Filing of the FAFSA for the 2017-2018 academic year.

    2. Unmet need, after application of all university and external awards, not including loans is greater than zero.

    3. Minimum GPA of 3.0 at the end of autumn 2016

    4. Completion of a minimum of 12 letter-graded credit hours at Ohio State at the end of autumn 2016.

    Priority consideration for need-based awards will be for students who are ineligible for federal Pell Grant dollars and those who are nearest to degree completion.

    Fisher Entrepreneurship Awards

    Entrepreneurship and Innovation Scholarships application will be available Feb 1, 2017. Application deadline if March 3, 2017

    Scarlet & Gay Deadline March 1st

    Scarlet & Gay: The Ohio State LGBTQ Alumni Society, is dedicated to making studying at The Ohio State University a financial reality for more LGBTQ students and their allies.  

    We offer nine scholarships to undergraduate students, including one that is dedicated to a student who will be beginning their education at Ohio State for the 2017-2018 school year. Additional scholarships exist for LGBTQ students who plan to study music, who have financial need, who have worked in the HIV/ AIDS community or who are living with HIV/AIDS.  

    The scholarships range from $1,500 - $2,500 each and will be awarded to students who have demonstrated involvement and dedication to the LGBTQ community.

    Bartels Study Abroad Scholarship

    Students with a minimum GPA of 3.5 who are completing a University sponsored program of at least 5 weeks duration and for a minimum of 9 semester hours of credit are eligible to apply .  Awards vary. Non-credit tours or excursions are not eligible. Preference will be given to Fisher College of Business students. Download the application here.  Deadline annually is March 17.

    Office of Global Business/CIBER Study Abroad Scholarship

    Students who participate in FCOB and/or OSU endorsed Study Abroad Programs may be eligible for select travel grants. Strong priority will be placed on supporting business students attending programs at FCOB partner institutions. Students must submit completed materials to the Fisher College of Business Office of Global Business by 5:00 p.m., May 15th regardless of holidays or weekends.

    Berger and Green Heart Disease Scholarship

    The Berger and Green team has been serving injured and disabled people in Pennsylvania for over 40 years. We want to give back to the community and help the next generation of leaders and professionals. As part of our outreach efforts, we are offering a new annual scholarship for students living with heart disease. Beginning in 2017, our firm will bestow a $1,000 Heart Disease Scholarship upon one hardworking, eligible college student.

    The Cargill Global Scholars Program is a distinctive scholarship opportunity that provides financial support in addition to leadership development opportunities through seminars, networking events, and a mentorship program.

    The law firm of Chisholm Chisholm & Kilpatrick LTD awards a $1,000 Child of a Disabled Veteran Scholarship each year to one deserving applicant whose parent has a service-connected disability. The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs reports that, in 2016, the U.S. has more than 20 million living veterans. As of 2015, almost one in four American veterans lived with a service-connected disability. In our ongoing work with veterans disabled from military service, we see firsthand the challenges our real-life national heroes and their families face.
