Ismael Talke
Background
Ismael Talke is a Senior Lecturer in the Management Science Department. He joined Fisher in 2019 after serving as a visiting faculty at Miami University Ohio, department of Information Systems and Analytics, where he taught undergraduate Business Analytics, Statistics, and Business Forecasting courses. Talke has also previously served as a faculty in Augsburg University, Minnesota and University of Asmara, Eritrea where he taught several applied undergraduate Statistics courses.
Talke has a PhD and MS in Statistics from Montana State University, MS in Statistics from University of KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa and BS in Mathematics from University of Asmara, Eritrea.
His professional experience includes Statistical consulting and advising undergraduate and graduate research projects. Talke is a member of the American Statistical Association.

- Examination of the use of statistical techniques in managerial decision-making processes; statistical inference, simple and multiple regression, time series. - BUSOBA 3332 - Business Analytics: Application of Predictive Analytics to Business Data
- Build and test predictive models that move from data to parameter estimation. Prereq: Econ 2001.01 and 2002.01 or equiv; and Stat 3202, or BusOBA 2320 and 2321; and CSE 2111 or equiv.
- BUSOBA 7393 - Supply Chain Analytics
- In any organization, the quantitative analysis of information to improve decision making ("Analytics") is exploding in all functional areas. The primary objective of this course is to study several applications of analytics in operations/supply chain management through a hands on approach. Topics include Data Analysis and Visualization, Simulation, Optimization and Time Series Forecasting.
- BUSOBA 7332.02 - Predictive Analytics
- Business Analytics is the process of transforming raw data into insights and predictions. This course provides an introduction to core predictive analytics concepts and techniques as well as hands-on experience in applying these techniques to practical real-word business problems. Prereq: Enrollment in Fisher College of Business, or permission of instructor. Not open to students with credit for BusOBA 7332.01.
