Nikhil Sharma
Background
Nikhil Sharma is a Ph.D. student in Operations and Business Analytics at the Fisher College of Business. His research focuses on Supply Chain Intermediaries. He has over twelve years of consulting experience in Data Operations and Business Analytics, much of it in the healthcare space. As such, Nikhil has been fascinated by the complexity of Health and Pharmaceutical supply chains, particularly the role of managed care middlemen such as Pharmacy Benefits Managers (PBMs). He is examining how PBM practices affect other supply chain members and whether policy interventions are effective or ineffective in improving pharmaceutical supply chains. His other active research stream examines interventions that improve pro-environmental operations.
Originally from New Delhi, India, Nikhil earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Maharshi Dayanand University, India. During his free time, he enjoys playing cricket and racket sports.
