Operations and Business Analytics

Background

Mohamed Megahed is a Ph.D. candidate in Operations and Business Analytics at the Fisher College of Business. His research investigates how artificial intelligence and advanced analytics can transform operations by enabling human-AI collaboration, intelligent process reengineering, and data-driven system design. He applies these approaches to complex service environments such as healthcare delivery and food manufacturing.
Drawing on machine learning, econometrics, and simulation, his work generates insights to improve efficiency, reduce operational friction, and support strategic redesign of service processes. In addition to his core focus on AI and service operations, he has contributed to research on donor-driven resource allocation in humanitarian contexts.
Mohamed holds an M.S. in Business Analytics from Kent State University. Prior to joining Fisher, he worked as a Health Policy Analyst for the State of Ohio, where he supported healthcare research and led data governance initiatives.
