Background

George S. Lu, CPA, MS.A., is a fifth-year PhD student in the Accounting and Management Information Systems (AMIS) department at the Fisher College of Business of The Ohio State University.  Lu’s research focuses on financial institution regulation, bank financial accounting and reporting, and corporate earnings management.  He has been invited to present his solo-authored research at the American Accounting Association (AAA) Annual Meeting, the Hawaii Accounting Research Conference, and the AAA IAS, AIS and SET Midyear Meetings, among others.  Prior to entering the PhD program at Ohio State, he was employed at The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, a global Fortune 500 company.  Hailing from Akron, Ohio, Lu obtained his BSBA in Finance magna cum laude from The Ohio State University and MS Accounting from Kent State University in Kent, Ohio.  He is a proud Buckeyes fan and a licensed CPA in the State of Ohio.
