Considers the unique challenges involved in high stakes leadership - situations when leadership can mean the difference between life & death. Students will learn skills that will prepare them for an outdoor, team-based, high stakes experience. Topics: self-leadership, managing emotions, risk assessment, leadership emergence, decision-making, trust, communication, teamwork, & active followership. Repeatable.
BUSMHR 7222 - Advanced Topics in Leadership: Building Your Leadership Legacy
Development of a personal leadership legacy designed to achieve career goals and improve leadership skills. Prereq: Enrollment in MBA, WPMBA, MHRM, or MAcc program, or permission of instructor.
BUSMHR 3501.04 - Leading Expeditions Ambassadorship
This course represents an extension of the Leading Expeditions Program (BUSMHR 3500 High Stakes Leadership). It provides Leading Expeditions Ambassadors opportunities to further develop their leadership skills by gaining actual experience leading new students (those presently enrolled in BUSMHR 3500) into the program. Students in the program need to be approved as a Leading Expeditions Ambassadors. Prereq: 3500 and 3501.01, 3501.02 or 3501.03. Repeatable to a maximum of 4.5 cr hrs.
