
Tai Johnson
Background
Taira "Tai" Johnson, a Columbus, Ohio native and passionate Buckeye fan, serves as the Pre-Collegiate Program Specialist at The Ohio State University Max M. Fisher College of Business. In this role, she manages programs designed to introduce the field of business and Fisher to K-12 audiences throughout Ohio by developing and coordinating inclusive, educational, and transformative experiences. Through her work, she remains dedicated to nurturing talents and supporting the aspirations of young individuals.
Before assuming her current position, Johnson worked as a caseworker with Franklin County Children Services (FCCS) and the National Youth Advocate Program (NYAP) for a total of eight years. These roles cultivated her strong sense of empathy and deep understanding of the challenges faced by students from underserved communities. Her commitment to community service is further reflected in her volunteer efforts with local churches, Delta Gems in collaboration with Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., Meals on Wheels, March of Dimes, and the Cinderella's Closet Boutique where she has consistently sought to make a positive impact.
Johnson’s expertise lies in program management, community outreach, and fostering inclusion, allowing her to connect with diverse audiences, build strong relationships, and achieve meaningful outcomes. She holds a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Mount Vernon Nazarene University (MVNU) and a Certificate in Public and Nonprofit Leadership from The Ohio State University, John Glenn College of Public Affairs. Currently, she is pursuing a dual master's degree at The Ohio State University in City and Regional Planning from the Knowlton School and Public Administration and Leadership from the John Glenn College of Public Affairs.
