Background

Twhila Dowdy is the program manager at The Ohio State University Max M. Fisher College of Business, within the Office of ACCESS. She began her career at Ohio State in 2001 and joined the Fisher College of Business in 2009. With over 32 years of experience in various roles, including administrator, program manager, recruiter, facilitator, and trainer in both higher education and government, Twhila brings a wealth of expertise in project management and strategy. She is highly skilled in managing fiscal and human resources, evaluating and forecasting budgets, and developing policies, procedures, and processes across all administrative functions. Additionally, Twhila excels at building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, donors, and community members.

A passionate advocate for student success, Twhila is dedicated to mentoring students both inside and outside the classroom. Her work focuses on student recruitment, retention and career advancement, and she frequently travels with students to conferences, case competitions, and career fairs. She has also served internationally as a resident director.

Twhila has held several key leadership roles, including chair of the OSU University Staff Advisory Committee’s Inclusive Excellence Subcommittee (2019–2020) and vice chair (2018–2019). She is also a member of the OSU Fisher College of Business Culture Taskforce (2020–Present).

In 2018, Twhila was recognized in the edition of Who’s Who in Black Columbus and received the Outstanding Volunteer Assistant award for the OSU Campus Campaign in 2007.
