Background

Mateus do Rego Ferreira Lima is a Ph.D. candidate in Operations and Business Analytics at Fisher College of Business, with a background encompassing an M.S. in Industrial Engineering from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) in Brazil, as well as a Bachelor's in Industrial Engineering from the State University of Maranhao in Brazil with an exchange term at Milwaukee School of Engineering, USA. Before joining Fisher, he gained valuable industry experience as a maintenance engineer at CAEMA (Brazil) and a manufacturer engineer at Phoenix Products Company Inc. (Milwaukee, USA). His work is focused on decision-making and behavioral mechanisms using technology in maintenance operations.

In June 2024, Mateus will be joining Indiana University (Kelley School of Business - Indianapolis) as an Assistant Professor.
