John Costello is a doctoral candidate at The Ohio State University. He holds a BS and an MBA from Villanova University. Prior to his doctoral studies John worked in merchandise planning for Saks Fifth Avenue and American Eagle Outfitters. John's research generally focuses on consumer behavior, especially prosocial behaviors and psychological response to promotions involving social others. Current projects investigate consumers' perceptions of peer-to-peer businesses, how promotions involving rival groups influence consumption, and how consumers' relationships with their time and money shapes giving behaviors.
