There are case competitions — and then there is the Venture Capital Investment Competition. For a team of MBA students from Fisher, the event provided a unique opportunity to explore the unique aspects of venture capital.

More than 25 Ohio State alumni have answered the call to help current graduate students grapple with professional and personal challenges as part of a coaching program delivered by the Fisher Leadership Initiative.

The Max. M. Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University has embarked on a journey to transform its Master in Business Administration (MBA) programs. The reshaping of curriculum and its delivery began with enhancements to Fisher’s Working Professionals MBA program and culminated this month in a new and uniquely student-focused redesign of its Full-Time MBA program. 

Full-time MBA student Isaac Reynolds is busy. Not only is he applying his experience in international business and his interests in marketing management and business development strategy to make an impact on the Fisher community, but he’s also putting to use his education and previous career experience as an advocate for the LGBTQ business community — at Fisher and on the global stage. 

The Ohio State University has selected marketing students Christian McGhee and Zac Graber to receive the President’s Prize, the highest university recognition bestowed on exceptional students committed to social change.

A tradition of service to the community once again brought together Fisher students, faculty, staff and alumni for the fourth-annual Fisher Impact Day.

As it continues to prepare the next generation of finance leaders for career success, Fisher’s internationally recognized Specialized Master in Finance program has announced a new partnership with the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Association.

For Erin Yu-Lee, Sandra Glaude and Isaiah Stephenson, their hard work and dedication paid off, as the MBA students led Fisher to a third-place finish at the competition, topping 33 other teams at the 2018 National Black MBA Association’s Annual Conference MBA case competition.

The Risk Institute’s 2018 Annual Conference brought together C-suite executives and senior risk professionals from around the globe to explore topics at the forefront of a number of industries, including managing talent pipelines and workforce development in the face of massive technological change and economic upheaval.

The Undergraduate Veterans Leadership Program provides military and veteran students at Ohio State with a unique opportunity to develop and refine their leadership skills.

Casey Miglin felt lost as a leader. As head of a student organization, she decided to develop her skills in managing the group and its members. She found the perfect opportunity through a summer offering of the Dean’s Leadership Academy at Fisher College of Business.

Thanks to support from Chris (BA ’78) and Sara Connor and the Connor Family Scholars Fund, 33 Fisher students spent two weeks in Africa, Asia and Europe as part of Fisher’s Global Projects Program: Nonprofit working on challenges ranging from improving outreach for people with physical and mental disabilities in India, to growing a local music incubator in South Africa.

For 23 years the Accounting Careers Awareness Program (ACAP-Ohio) has equipped minority high school students from throughout the state with experiences to help them become impactful leaders in accounting and business.

A generous commitment of $17 million by the Keenan Family Foundation has enabled The Ohio State University Max M. Fisher College of Business to strengthen its commitment to entrepreneurship. The Keenan Center for Entrepreneurship will focus on cultivating students’ entrepreneurial skill sets and create an enriched extracurricular experience around entrepreneurship.

Building on its commitment to providing students with critical opportunities to gain global skills and perspectives, Fisher College of Business has launched an International Business minor for undergraduates.
