Elective Coursework
In addition to required coursework, MHRM students are required to take a minimum of 9 elective credit hours to be completed at any point in the program.
Electives are a great way to personalize the MHRM degree and are typically finalized by mid-March for the upcoming autumn semester and mid-October for the upcoming spring semester. The list below highlights some popular options and will be updated around March/October with 2021 elective offerings. View the curriculum to see when MHRM electives are typically taken. If you have questions, email fisher_mhrm@fisher.osu.edu.
Did you know? Electives may be any graduate-level BUSMHR courses, independent study, or Ohio State electives outside the Fisher College of Business related to human resources*. You'll work with your academic advisor to ensure your electives align with your goals.
*Approval by academic advisor required. For non-business courses to meet the elective requirement, the courses must be offered at the graduate level and relate to the human resources field.
