Scarlet & Gray Advantage

Recognizing the real challenges that student debt creates for tomorrow's leaders, thinkers and change agents, The Ohio State University is acting with purpose toward a bold goal: to help students earn a degree — debt-free.

The Scarlet & Gray Advantage program offers all undergraduate students at any Ohio State campus a path forward to a debt-free bachelor's degree.

Building on existing affordability initiatives at Ohio State proven to help reduce student debt, the program engages students — like-minded in their pursuit of a debt-free education — as active participants in achieving a degree through a joint commitment with the university.

The Scarlet & Gray Advantage program is not a "free tuition" initiative, rather it broadens students' pathways to financial independence by combining paid internships, employment, financial literacy education, state grants, university aid and donor-supported scholarships to empower them to graduate debt-free.

The program enhances and expands the impact of Ohio State's current financial support structure for students, including:

  • Scholarships and grants: More students from all backgrounds will be able to attend Ohio State and experience the life-changing opportunities the university has to offer.
  • Paid internships and job opportunities: From expanded opportunities to work on campus to new employment opportunities throughout the country, students will gain valuable work experience while earning money toward their debt-free education.
  • Career development and leadership programs: Students will build a strong professional foundation that will carry them forward as members of Ohio State's incredible alumni network.
  • Financial literacy programs: Students will gain an in-depth understanding of personal finance, preparing them for success as students and providing them with the experiences and perspectives that will shape their futures as professionals, leaders and citizens.

How can you impact the financial future of an Ohio State student?

As part of Ohio State's goal to raise at least $800 million to expand undergraduate scholarships, Fisher is turning to our alumni, friends and partners for your help.

Over the next 10 years, we seek to raise $83 million to empower, equip and help the next generation of Business Buckeyes secure their financial stability through the Scarlet & Gray Advantage program.

Private donations of at least six figures made to Fisher College of Business that establish new endowments or support existing scholarships will be matched — with up to $7 million in matching funds available to supporters of Fisher.

Consider supporting the Scarlet & Gray Advantage program and providing pathways for our undergraduate students to reach their educational goals and to achieve stable, more secure financial futures.

Be a champion for our next generation of business leaders.
