Maximizing Influence and Leadership in a Multi-Generational Workforce
Today’s professionals must effectively influence and lead in a global and dynamic environment with teams (and customers) representing as many as five generations. Understanding human behavior will help leaders to optimize their communication effectiveness, forge stronger relationships, and strengthen engagement to effectively lead teams through change and growth. Through a combination of discussion, theory, and the application of tools and frameworks, participants will gain the tools and language required to better understand and influence relationships, behavior, and outcomes.

Program Faculty
Carmin Gade, PhD, is the Chief Marketing Officer of WCG where she is responsible for providing leadership, direction, and prioritization for all marketing efforts to support the company’s growth, achievement of business development objectives, differentiated market position, and internal and external communications. Having more than 25 years’ experience as a senior leader and educator, Carmin’s efforts are instrumental in strengthening WCG’s global market positioning, accelerating growth, and optimizing performance through the development, management, and retention of high-performing teams.
Carmin joined WCG from CAS, a division of the American Chemical Society where she led all aspects of communications, brand, enterprise marketing, and sales enablement with a focus on advancing the CAS mission through strengthening the CAS brand, increasing stakeholder engagement, and driving revenue growth globally. Spending her career in the life sciences and pharmaceutical industry, Carmin also served as Chief Experience Officer at MedVet, Senior Director of Global Strategic Initiatives and Director of Marketing and Sales Excellence at Mylan, and Chief Marketing Communications Officer and Director of Brand and Technology Communications at Battelle. She also held leadership positions in global communications and business development throughout her tenure at Cardinal Health.
Maintaining a deep passion and value for education and inspiring excellence, Carmin has remained active in higher education as an adjunct faculty member in Capital University’s MBA program. She earned her PhD and master’s degrees from The Ohio State University and her Bachelor of Arts degree from Miami University.
All cancellations and transfers must be received in writing. Submit your request via email to Jennie McAndrew at mcandrew.28@osu.edu with the name of the program, followed by “cancellation” or “transfer” in the subject line.
- Cancellations must be made at least thirty (30) days prior to the first day of the program in order to be eligible for a full refund.
- Cancellations must be made at least fourteen (14) days prior to the first day of the program in order to be eligible for a 50% refund.
- Any cancellations made less than fourteen (14) days prior to the first day of the program will forfeit the registration fee.
- If you for any reason are unable to attend the program, please consider sending someone in your place. Participants can transfer their registration to someone else within their organization at no charge up to 24 hours before the first day of the program.
