Business Analytics: From Data to Insights
Analytics play a crucial role in helping organizations make informed decisions, improve efficiency and achieve their goals.
Business Analytics in simple terms is transforming data into insights that will aid in making better decisions. Business Analytics can be used to answer a number of business questions, from driving efficiency to lowering risk. All companies today are using analytics in one form or another from the simple (Descriptive Analytics) to the complex (Prescriptive). Crunching numbers is a skill, but interpreting the results and determining what to do based on those results are skills that companies are searching for today.
In this program, participants will learn the basics to get started on their analytics journey and will discuss these five key topics: critical thinking, statistics, data visualization, programming and conveying results. Additional resources will be shared should participants wish to further their path in one of these areas.

- As technology advances and more information is generated, companies need to leverage the power of data literacy to drive decision-making and innovation.
- Unlike intuition-based decision-making, data-driven insights offer a level of accuracy and reliability that is hard to beat. By using data to drive decision-making, businesses can minimize risk, optimize efficiency, and improve their bottom line.
- Data literacy skills are critical for turning raw data into workable insights. Without this knowledge, it can be challenging to make sense of the vast amount of information available to businesses today.
- Consumer data is a goldmine of information for businesses. By analyzing consumer data, companies can gain valuable insights into who their target market is and how best to reach them. This information can be used to develop targeted marketing campaigns that are more likely to be effective.
- When businesses can understand and analyze data effectively, they are better positioned to identify emerging trends, develop new products, and improve existing processes. In this way, data literacy fuels business growth and drives innovation.
