Scott LaCross
Scott LaCross is a Senior Lecturer and Director of the Marketing Consulting Projects program. Scott's extensive experience spans across academia, strategic consulting and brand management. He is an Academic Director in Fisher's Executive Education Program and a Faculty Advisor for the OSU chapter of the American Marketing Association.
Scott has taught students in a wide range of programs at Fisher including Marketing Consulting Projects, Marketing Strategy, Advertising & Promotional Strategy, Brand Management, WPMBA Marketing Management and the FTMBA Professional Development.
Scott joined the Fisher Marketing & Logistics faculty team in Spring 2013 as an Adjunct Lecturer while also managing his own business, The Speiro Group, a Columbus-based consulting firm serving companies in the areas of strategic planning, marketing execution, and leadership development. Scott transitioned into a full-time faculty position in Autumn 2016.
Prior to teaching and consulting, Scott held various brand management positions with Sara Lee Corporation and Abbott Nutrition. His experience includes strategic business planning, P&L management, profitability improvement, cross-functional team management, market research design, brand identity and positioning, advertising and promotions development, and new product launches.
Scott earned his MBA from Northern Illinois University and his B.S. in Marketing and Organizational Leadership from Miami University.
Claire Adams
Claire Adams joined the Marketing and Logistics faculty in August 2020. Prior to joining Fisher, Claire was an Executive Professor of Marketing in the School of Management and Leadership at Capital University for four years. In addition to teaching the Marketing Projects courses at Fisher, Claire also teaches Principles of Marketing, Digital Marketing, Foundation of Sales and Sales Management.
Before embarking on a career in higher education, Claire worked in corporate marketing and brand management for over ten years. Her time in marketing was spent working for Abbott Nutrition, Scotts Miracle-Gro, the Personal Care Products Council and L Brands. She brings her industry experience to the classroom by engaging students in real world case studies and client work. Her goal is to create a learning environment where students gain applicable knowledge and skill sets to be successful in the workforce. Claire’s students have engaged with companies like Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Pelotonia, Abbott, Rug Doctor, Stryker Corporation and more.
Outside of class, Claire manages her own consulting firm, Alcott Strategic Marketing, where she continues to apply her expertise in the marketing field. She also serves as the faculty advisor to Pi Sigma Epsilon, which is the national co-ed professional fraternity in the fields of sales, marketing and management on campus.
Claire is an alum of Fisher’s MBA program and is the recipient of the W. Arthur Cullman MBA Fellowship in 2011. She completed her undergraduate degree at Miami University where she studied Human Resources Management and Marketing. Last but not least, she is a fourth generation Buckeye and is thrilled to be teaching at her alma mater.
Jon Quinn
Jon Quinn is a senior marketing executive with progressive leadership experience in both corporate and agency environments in brand management and marketing communications with an extensive marketing education and a unique combination of strategic, analytic and creative strengths. Jon’s areas of expertise include: brand strategy, new product development and introduction, consumer behavior, marketing research, integrated marketing communications and digital marketing.
He has held senior roles at high-profile brands and organizations including Applebee’s, Huntington Bank, Bob Evans, YUM! Brands, Ketchum Communications and Foote, Cone & Belding. Before joining Kelley, Jon taught at various universities over the past 25 years including The Katz School of Business at The University of Pittsburgh, The Smeal School of Business at The Pennsylvania State University, The University of Dayton and Ohio University. Prior to joining Fisher, Jon was the Nestlé Faculty Fellow, Director of the Center for Brand Leadership, and Director of the Consumer Marketing Academy at the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.
Jon earned his Master of Science in Marketing from The Pennsylvania State University, his MSIA (MBA) from Carnegie Mellon University, and his Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Pittsburgh.
Andy Shockney
Andy Shockney joined the Fisher Marketing & Logistics faculty team in Spring 2020 as an Adjunct Lecturer to teach the Marketing Consulting Projects course.
Andy Shockney is President and Founder of What Box Consulting Group. Andy's focus in consulting is on strategic planning and customer experience. His passion is to discover and unlock growth in businesses and leaders.
Prior to starting his own consulting firm, Andy was Director of Strategic Planning with Thirty-one Gifts and Vice President of Operations with Insurance First Agency. His experience includes leadership in key roles responsible for strategic planning, customer experience, business process and product innovation, process improvement, and leadership development.
Andy earned his MBA from Capital University and his B.A. in Business Administration and Journalism from Ashland University.
