Operations Management
See how better processes lead to better business. Fisher’s operations management specialization examines how organizations bring together people, materials, information and technology to produce goods and deliver services efficiently and effectively.
Through coursework in process analysis, quality management, supply chain operations and quantitative decision-making, you’ll learn to identify opportunities for improvement, solve operational challenges and make systems work better. These capabilities can prepare you for careers across manufacturing, consulting, purchasing, supply chain management and service industries.
Choose between two tracks to focus your studies based on your interests and goals. The Operations track focuses on the processes and systems organizations use to deliver goods and services, while the Purchasing track provides a pathway for students interested in sourcing, procurement and supplier relationships.
You can also build connections and gain experience through student organizations such as the Buckeye Operations Management Society and the Purchasing and Supply Management Association.
Explore the operations management specialization below and prepare to improve the systems that keep organizations working.
