Curriculum requirements
Fisher’s undergraduate program is intentionally designed to prepare students for a business world that is constantly evolving, equipping them with the knowledge, skills and experiences to lead, adapt and thrive.
Students gain breadth across business concepts and disciplines while developing depth in a specialized area of study. Current and emerging business concepts are paired with opportunities to put theory into practice in and beyond the classroom—building the experience, confidence and adaptability to make an impact from day one.
At the center of this experience is Fisher’s Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) curriculum, which is structured around five components that provide a comprehensive business education while offering the flexibility to shape your academic path.
- Ohio State General Education: Broad learning across disciplines required of all Ohio State students.
- Business Foundation: The academic building blocks needed for the BSBA, including math, economics, accounting, analytics and related subjects.
- Business Core: Shared coursework that gives every business major knowledge across the major functions of business.
- Specialization: Focused coursework that develops deeper expertise in your chosen area of business.
- Electives: Additional coursework that gives you flexibility to explore interests and complement your business education.

Note that Fisher’s BSBA curriculum is evolving, with new curriculum requirements taking effect in Autumn 2027. The requirements that apply to you are based on when you begin the program.
