A strong partnership between Fisher MBAs and JobsOhio continues to create benefits and global business opportunities with companies and organizations around the world.

From the Netherlands to Canada, Washington state and virtually, Fisher students showcased their global trade and international business knowledge in several global case competitions this academic year. They put their critical thinking and problem-solving skills to work to create solutions to challenges ranging from sustainability to international markets, cultural integration and human resources.

Meet Kshipra Mandlecha, a second-year international student who is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a specialization in managerial economics.

An eye-opening experience in war-torn Ukraine led international business student Claudia VanHuffel to view business through the lens of compassion. As an intern with a governmental medical supplier, VanHuffel immersed herself in war-time health care, helping to improve patient outcomes and the quality of life for those afflicted by the ongoing conflict.

A collaboration among two of Fisher’s Centers of Excellence and Ohio State’s East Asian Studies Center put global trade dynamics and supply chain resiliency in the spotlight. The Global Supply Chain Forum connected the Ohio State community with U.S. Trade Representative Ambassador Katherine Tai and Harvard Professor William Kirby.

Jay Anand, the William H. Davis Chair and Dean’s Distinguished Professor of Strategy at Fisher has been named the academic director for the university's India Gateway. As one of three academic directors tasked to gateways in India, China and Brazil, Anand will serve as a part-time senior advisor for the Global Gateways and connect with Ohio State’s 15 colleges and regional campuses to identify new partnership opportunities abroad.
