Operations Management

Management Sciences Professors John Gray and Johnny Rungtusanatham were recently recognized for their research by the Journal of Operations Management.

Gray, an associate professor in the Department of Management Sciences, and Rungtusanatham, the Fisher College of Business Distinguished Professor of Management Sciences, received the Jack Meredith Best Paper Award at the 2018 Academy of Management Conference in Chicago.

The award recognizes the best paper published in the journal in the calendar year 2017. The award was especially meaningful for Gray, who took classes from Meredith during his MBA education at Wake Forest University. Gray credited Meredith for being “a key inspiration for my PhD move from industry.”

Gray also received the Distinguished Service to the Operations and Supply Chain Management (OSCM) Division award, recognizing his exemplary performance in leadership roles for the OCSM Division during the past five years.
