Standardized Tests

Tests accepted by each graduate degree program:

The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business graduate programs accept several standardized tests for those required or opting into sending scores. Confirm which tests are accepted by the graduate program(s) you're most interested in. If a program accepts multiple tests, Fisher will have no preference for which one you take, and you should select the test that best highlights your personal and academic strengths. *Changes for GRE test takers only: 

As of Oct. 1, 2024, we only accept GRE test scores taken at an ETS testing center, not the GRE at-home version. However, we will accept valid GRE at-home scores if taken before Oct. 1, 2024.

International Students English Proficiency: We accept TOEFL, IELTS, or Duolingo. 

Which programs are test-optional or offer waivers?

What is test-optional? Graduate programs that are test-optional do not require test scores and simply give you the option to either provide test scores or select a box within the application that you want to be considered without test scores. The choice is entirely yours. Applications submitted without test scores have more weight placed on other items within the application (transcript(s), essay, resume, etc.). 

What is a test waiver? Graduate programs that offer standardized test waivers have a set of requirements listed that are required to receive approval for a waiver. If you are approved for a waiver your application proceeds to the next stage of the review process. If you are not approved for a waiver, your application will remain on hold until test scores are provided.
