Maria Desire Arguello is an Industrial Engineer with 5 years of experience in supply chain analysis, transportation, and quality management. Originally from Nicaragua and now based in Columbus, Ohio, she is passionate about process improvement, optimization, and the impact supply chain has on organizational performance. After moving to the United States 2 years ago, she decided to pursue the MSCM program to deepen her understanding of the U.S. supply chain environment. She chose Ohio State for its strong reputation and industry connections, and she is excited for the journey this experience will lead her on.

Maria Desire currently works as a Senior Supply Chain Coordinator at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, where her role naturally complements what she is learning in the program. She lives in Columbus with her family and her dog, Mia, and is always happy to support prospective students, especially those navigating the program as international students.

Gary Ault has experience as a DoD project director and as a software developer for the Bureau of Labor Statistics, where he worked on data capture systems for the Employment Cost Index. He is excited about the opportunities for career change that the MSCM program offers. He chose the Fisher program because of its flexibility, reputation, and location. He is passionate about learning to help companies efficiently deliver products and services to their customers.

Jason Tate is a supply chain professional with over 18 years of experience in manufacturing, production scheduling, supply chain optimization and performance improvement. He believes in end-to-end supply chain visibility and transparency, and loves to learn about strategic sourcing methods especially with companies that are world changing to make our environment a better place. Jason holds a BAAS degree from the University of North Texas and is participating in the second cohort of the OSU Master of Supply Chain Management degree. 

Maxwell Rodney, originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, relocated to Houston, Texas, with his family after Hurricane Katrina. A Magna Cum Laude graduate from The Ohio State University with a BA in Strategic Communications, he is currently pursuing a Master’s in Supply Chain Management & Logistics at Ohio State. Maxwell is passionate about using his education to help businesses implement sustainable practices and enhance operational efficiency.

As a United States and NCAA Division 1 fencer, Maxwell is dedicated to mentoring young athletes, engaging in community outreach, and exploring entrepreneurial ventures.

Upon graduating from the Master of Supply Chain Management program at Fisher College of Business, Maxwell accepted a full-time job offer with PwC in Chicago. 

Alissa worked for Honda for 20 years and is currently the Supply Chain Sustainability Manager; and has recently transitioned to a remote role at Grief.  She started as a buyer, was promoted to senior buyer within the first few years, and has spent the last 12 years with Sustainability, 10 as manager. 

As Sustainability Manager she has overseen  700+ suppliers within North America in the areas of overall Sustainability, Substances of Concern, CO2 Reduction, Responsible Sourcing, Human Rights and Cyber Security. 

Alissa holds a BA from Western Michigan University in Supply Chain Management and is an alumna of the first cohort of the Ohio State/Fisher Master of Supply Chain Management program.

I have 30 years of Supply Chain and Operations Management experience, yet still marvel at the advancements and efficiencies possible with technology, education, and collaboration in this profession. I've had the opportunity to conduct business in several countries and across different industries. Notable experiences include being part of a green-field start up team, serving on local APICS boards, working as a Business Process Owner for an SAP implementation, and being part of a Center of Excellence team focused on Global Sales and Operations Planning, and now leading an end-to-end Supply Chain Fulfillment team for a Fortune 500 company. I believe Supply Chain related careers offer a multitude of engaging opportunities and paths for continued learning and development.

I spent five years in the Marine Corps doing communication electronics repair and worked for Trumpf US as a fiber optic laser technician before moving on to GE. I am married and have a three year old son. 

 With over 25 years of Supply Chain and Operations Management experience, I’m energized by the constantly changing landscape of this profession. The dynamic environment of supply chain work — where every challenge is a puzzle waiting to be solved — is what has kept me inspired throughout my career.

I’ve had the opportunity to work across diverse industries, including the Technology Recycling and Data Security (ITAD) industry and Third-party logistics. Along the way, I’ve supported numerous major startups, built a strong foundation in inventory management, and brought an IT background that helps bridge operational and technological perspectives. My experience also includes leading large-scale facility transformations designed to strengthen performance, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Earlier in my career, I served four years in the U.S. Army, where I developed the discipline, teamwork, and leadership mindset that continue to guide my approach to complex operational challenges.

One of the accomplishments I value most was leading a high-volume DC startup — an effort that required tight coordination, cross-functional leadership, and the ability to build strong processes from the ground up.

I believe supply chain careers offer a unique blend of challenge and reward. Solving complex problems, especially in fast-moving environments, is not only professionally fulfilling but creates opportunities for continuous learning and growth. I’m excited to support MSCM students as they explore the many pathways and possibilities within this field.
