Global Marketing: Taiwan
Marketing students should jump on this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity take your global marketing elective while studying abroad! You’ll have the chance to take what you’ve learned in class and see it applied as you meet with executives from both multi-national and Taiwanese companies. You'll be able to soak up the cultural sites, by hiking Elephant mountain, launching lanterns in Shifen, and visit Tai Pei 101, the Raohe Night Market, Sun Moon Lake, Kenting Recreation area and more!
Previous business visits included, Fubon Securities, TSMC, Micron, Taiwan Design Research Institute, Kenda Tire, Johnson Health Tech, and the American Institute of Taiwan (subect to change).

This was truly a once-in-a-lifetime trip. The itinerary was packed with opportunities to experience both the rich culture and the business environment of Taiwan. From visiting companies to exploring cultural sites, every day offered something new. Taiwan has such rich and welcoming culture and being immersed in it allowed us to better understand the people, traditions, and everyday life of the country. The company visits gave us insight into international business and the alumni dinner allowed us to connect with locals and hear about their time at OSU. I went into this trip not knowing anyone and now I am leaving with 25 new best friends. While this was a trip of a lifetime, it was also truly-life changing.
In order to be eligible to apply for this program, students must have a cumulative 2.75 GPA and meet OIA's General Eligibility Requirements and Conditions for Participation.
Applicants must:
- Include an updated resume in their application
- Be enrolled as undergraduate Fisher student at Ohio State
- Be a second or third year business student at the time of application. Students graduating in May 2027 are ineligible.
- Preference is given to those seeking an Marketing or International Business specialization, or those enrolled in the International Business Minor
- Have completed BUSML 3250 and BUSMHR 2292 by the time of enrollment
- Have no student record actions of "Warning," "Probation," or "Probation by Special Action"
All students will also be required to participate in on-campus pre-departure orientations organized by the Office of International Affairs.

- Ask clarifying questions: Email the program manager for inquiries not covered in the information session (contact information is listed at the bottom of the page).
- Review the "Finance" tab on the program brochure.
- Apply for scholarships: If you have a declared major in Fisher, you will be eligible for the Fisher Global Grant.
- Clear your schedule: If you are accepted into this program, you must be able to attend the required course (see the "Academics" tab on the brochure for course information).
- If you're an international student, review the FAQ's about studying abroad as an international student.
- Apply for the program! As you sit down to access the application, make sure you have:
- Your passport number. If you have not received your passport, or have not yet applied for one, you may still complete the online application, but remember that you may not participate in a study abroad program without a valid passport. Passports are taking up to 18 weeks, so please make sure you have ample time to apply for or renew an expired passport.
- Your Ohio State advising report, saved as a PDF to attach to the application.
- Names and contact information of the individuals you would like contacted in case of an emergency.
- A $150 application fee is required for all education abroad program applications. Should you choose to start an application, you will be notified to pay the application fee when it has been assigned as a material due. This application fee will be refunded only if you are not accepted to your study abroad program, if your program is canceled or if you withdraw your application prior to the application deadline.
