Entrepreneurship

The Entrepreneurship Minor is designed to empower students from any major to harness the economic value of innovative ideas. Through this program, students will strengthen their understanding of entrepreneurship and innovation, while exploring potential career paths and developing key competencies in launching, managing, and leading entrepreneurial ventures.
This minor is ideal for students interested in startups, social enterprises, innovation strategy, or launching their own business.
No application is required. Simply notify your college advisor of your intent to pursue the minor.
Curriculum Requirements
To complete the minor, students must successfully complete a minimum of 15 credit hours, which include two required courses and at least 9 elective credits (including a minimum of 3 credits from the Practicum Electives list).
All students must complete the following two courses:

Students must choose at least 9 credit hours of electives. At least 3 of these must be from the Practicum Elective Courses listed below. Many electives have prerequisites; consult the course catalog for details.

No. There is no formal application. Notify your college advisor if you intend to pursue the minor.
Your college advisor will approve the minor once you’ve met the requirements. Fisher College of Business does not need to approve it. If your college requires an approved form, you can obtain one by contacting Fisher Undergraduate Programs at 614-292-2715.
Generally, no. Courses used in the minor should not overlap with major requirements. Each minor must also include at least 12 unique credit hours. Always check with your college advisor.
You must earn:
- C- or better in each course
- 2.00 cumulative GPA in all minor coursework
Courses taken Pass/Non-Pass cannot count toward the minor.
Yes. Many electives—especially those outside of Fisher—have their own prerequisites. Check the course catalog before enrolling.
