Jane Jiang
Background
Jane Yi Jiang is an Assistant Professor of Operations and Business Analytics at the Max M. Fisher College of Business, The Ohio State University. Her research centers on marketplaces and information dissemination within them. Jane collaborates closely with some of the world’s leading companies, using empirical tools such as structural estimation, causal inference, and machine learning to tackle novel business challenges and provide practical insights to firms. Her research was selected as a finalist for the 2023 TIMES Best Working Paper Competition.
Jane joined the Department of Operations and Business Analytics after receiving her Ph.D. from the Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland. She holds a B.S. in Physics and a B.A. in Mathematics from Queens College, City University of New York. Earlier in her career, Jane obtained an LL.M. from NYU Law School and practiced as a business lawyer in Beijing, China. Her diverse educational background and professional experiences offer a unique perspective that enriches both her research and teaching.
