Demonstrating Fisher’s commitment to innovative research at all levels, 22 undergraduate students recently were selected to present at the 21^st annual Richard J. and Martha D. Denman Undergraduate Research Forum and the inaugural Undergraduate Research Poster Expo.

The students worked with faculty advisors from across the college and university to explore topics ranging from social enterprise in developed and developing economies to the popularity of online grocery shopping. Eighteen students participated in the Denman Forum, which showcases outstanding research and encourages all undergraduates to participate in research as a value-added element of their educations at The Ohio State University.

Placers in the Business/Education and Human Ecology/Speech and Hearing Science of the Denman Undergraduate Research Forum included Fisher students Erica Toth (first), Kelsey Rumburg (second) and Andrea Dempsey (third).

“We are so proud to see the accomplishments of all of our talented young researchers recognized at such a prestigious event,” said Pat West, associate dean for undergraduate programs at Fisher. “Their selection to the Denman Forum and Research Expo is just one example of the impact that our exceptional students are having here on campus and will soon be having in shaping the future of business.”

Prior to the Denman Forum and Research Expo, the students, many of whom are a part of Fisher's Honors Contract program, took the opportunity to share their research with the Fisher community at the first-ever Undergraduate Research Showcase. Held inside the Mason Hall Rotunda, the students presented their projects to faculty and staff, who served as trial judges.
