Fisher marks summer graduates of the Class of 2018

The Fisher College of Business community continued to celebrate the Class of 2018 with a number of Summer Commencement events.
The Master of Accounting (MAcc) program recognized the first cohort of the KPMG Master of Accounting with Data and Analytics program at Fisher. The 26-member class, whose tuition, room, board and books were funded by KPMG, represented the inaugural group that participated in the innovative partnership between the college and the accounting giant.

Max Carrier (BSBA ’80) delivered a keynote at the MAcc commencement ceremony. Carrier, KPMG’s former National Partner-in-Charge of eAudIT, Global Delivery Center and Audit Data & Analytics, was partly responsible for helping launch the unique data and analytics initiative at his alma mater, as well as the Villanova School of Business.

In addition to the MAcc graduates, several other graduate programs celebrated commencement, including:
- MBA for Working Professionals: 29 graduates
- PhD in Business Administration: five graduates
- PhD in Accounting and Management Information Systems: one graduate
- Master of Business Logistics Engineering: one graduate
At the undergraduate level, 86 students joined the Fisher alumni family following an August 5 ceremony at the Schottenstein Center. Alan C. Michaels, dean of the Moritz College of Law, delivered The Ohio State University’s 2018 summer commencement address.
