Recognizing the ever-increasing demands on the time of professionals in the workforce, The Ohio State University Max M. Fisher College of Business has launched a new Weekend Option in its nationally ranked MBA program for Working Professionals (WPMBA). This option is tailored to meet the needs of those considering a Master of Business Administration degree.

The new option provides students greater flexibility in their pursuit of a Fisher MBA by offering courses on weekends throughout the eight-semester WPMBA Program. Fisher’s WPMBA program is ranked No. 9 in the country according to U.S. News & World Report’s 2018 survey of part-time MBA programs.

The Weekend Option addresses several key barriers to earning an MBA — namely flexibility, affordability and access:

  • Flexibility: Students enrolled in the Weekend Option have the ability to take all courses on weekends or integrate their schedule with Fisher’s existing weeknight WPMBA program.
  • Affordability: Students residing in Ohio and enrolled in the Weekend Option will be eligible for in-state tuition.
  • Free Transportation: Fisher will provide students with free transportation to class, via chartered, Wi-Fi-enabled buses, that will operate and serve the cities of Cleveland, Cincinnati and Dayton.

“Fisher is thrilled to provide our students with another innovative way to join our nationally renowned working professionals MBA program,” said Walter Zinn, associate dean of graduate programs at Fisher. “The Weekend Option offers more students the flexibility to pursue an MBA at Fisher — all while providing the level of academic rigor and faculty thought leadership that have distinguished Fisher as a leader in graduate business education here in Ohio and throughout the country.”

Information sessions will be held throughout March in Cleveland, Dayton and Cincinnati, as well as on campus in Columbus.
