Big Ten+ Case Competition

A pair of Fisher full-time MBA students earned individual accolades at the college’s annual Big Ten+ Case Competition.

Joe Boreman and Mireille Hartley were honored as the best presenter and for having the best Q&A, respectively, in the first round of the competition. The students, along with teammates Hersh Gupta and Mike Mahoney, were coached by Marc Ankerman, and hosted nine other universities at the competition.

Sponsored by the National Center for the Middle Market, the case competition connected the students with Installed Building Products (IBP), the second-largest insulation installer serving residential and new construction markets in the U.S. Students engaged with company executives in Q&A sessions, toured IBP’s headquarters in Columbus and presented solutions to a specific challenge facing the company.

Purdue finished in first place, Maryland in second and Illinois in third. Teams from Michigan State, Iowa, Nebraska, Wisconsin and Washington University also competed in the weekend event.
