Led by a top-five showing by one of its academic departments, Fisher College of Business was named one of the top 15 undergraduate business schools in U.S. News & World Report’s 2022 rankings.

The college was listed as the 14th-best business school nationwide and 7th among public institutions.

“As a college, we recognize that rankings are just one of many data points that demonstrate the positive impact we’re having on our students and in business education,” said Anil K. Makhija, dean and John W. Berry, Sr. Chair in Business. “We are certainly excited by the strong showing from departments across the college and look forward to using it as momentum to build on the differentiators that make an undergraduate business education at Fisher truly unique.”

The positive overall gains were also reflected in a number of Fisher’s academic departments and specialties. The Department of Operations and Business Analytics was ranked No. 2 nationwide, behind only the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). The ranking was an improvement of three positions from the publication’s 2021 list.

Other academic specialties at Fisher that ranked among the top 15 nationwide in the 2022 listing include:

  • supply chain and logistics (No. 6)
  • accounting (No. 8)
  • finance (No. 11)
  • business analytics (No. 13)
  • marketing (No. 13)
  • management (No. 15)

In addition to strong showings by programs at Fisher, Ohio State improved in a number of key areas, according to the rankings.
