Going to the Gemba
The Working Professional MBA program offers our Going to the Gemba (the place where work occurs) program. Once a month, students have an unparalleled opportunity to tour a Central Ohio facility, learn from local leaders, and extend cross-functional knowledge.
We Build Prepared and Impactful Leaders at Fisher
Experiential learning is at the heart of the Working Professional MBA, and "Going to the Gemba" gets students out of the classroom and into the real world. Created by an Toyota executive, Gemba Walks engages leadership through in-person observations and talking with front-line employees. It's a way to see the difference between what they think is happening vs. what is happening, which is a critical attribute of principled leadership development at Fisher. WPMBA students also observe how business leaders utilize Lean and Six Sigma to drive organizations forward across a wide breadth of industries. It's all part of becoming our next class of impactful leaders.
