Why did you choose Fisher? I chose Fisher because of the multitude of resources and alumni connections that I can utilize as I transition my career into marketing. What surprised you the most about Fisher? What was most surprising was the diversity here. After meeting the members of my class, I see the credibility in Fisher's diversity through differences in demographics, cultural backgrounds, past experiences, and unique perspectives. Favorite class at Fisher? Definitely a lot of the marketing courses, but I think two I am looking forward to our Business in College Sports and Consumer Behavior. On-campus/community involvement or What clubs are you involved in? Will join student organizations like Women in Business, BMBAA, AMP, FSBA, etc. Advice to prospective candidates? My advice to prospective students is to make sure you find a place that values its partnership with you. A place, like Fisher, that will challenge you to try new things, to step out of your comfort zone, and to grow both professionally and personally. Make connections with everyone, be ready to learn, and utilize your time and the resources provided to you wisely. This is the time to hone in on your strengths, but also to improve your weaknesses.

I'm looking forward to getting involved with Net Impact and the Operations and Logistics Management Association. Advice to prospective candidates? Stay true to yourself when searching for a program. Many programs provide world-class education and ample access to employers. Find a program that does not only that but also connects you with a group of people that you can call family. During the application process, every student and staff member I reached out to was more than willing to help me with my questions about the program and the application process in general. Why did you chose Fisher? The location was perfect for me and my family, the small class size provides unique opportunities for collaboration with both classmates and professors, and, finally the experiential opportunities offered through student organizations, coursework and GAP were significant to my decision. The small class size, commitment to integrity and student organizations/experiential learning opportunities. We have been able to build great relationships with faculty and our classmates throughout the program due to the small size. In addition, the opportunities to grow as a leader and get involved in Columbus and on campus have been amazing. What surprised you the most about Fisher? The culture – going back to business school without a traditional business undergrad was intimidating, but the people at Fisher create a welcoming and collaborative environment. Class Highlight: Crucial Conversations with Prof. Sullivan – We were able to learn from him throughout our GAP course last semester, and I look forward to taking a full semester course to learn more and improve my leadership skill set. Why did you choose Fisher? I was drawn to Fisher's MBA program because of the career development opportunities such as the National Black MBA Association and the annual trip to Silicon Valley. Though I was already in a graduate program (Master of Health Administration), I found the staff and current students to be incredibly engaged and caring. What surprised you the most about Fisher? I was surprised at how well I was able to connect with my classmates. Our class size (~90-100) facilitate a more intimate connection with your fellow Buckeyes! There is so much to learn from each of your peers. Highlight a class: I am looking forward to the Advance Leadership course with Professor Rucci. Students who have taken the class praise the course it for its reflective and incredibly personal approach. I am also incredibly excited to travel to the National Black MBA Association Conference. It was an excellent opportunity to network with diverse professionals and Fortune 500 companies. On-campus/community involvement or What clubs are you involved in? Why did you choose Fisher? I chose Fisher mainly because of the numerous opportunities offered to put my skills to use in a global setting (GAP, GBE, and Global Trade Network). Personally, it feels like Ohio State checks all the boxes. It is one of the best public universities in the nation and provides its MBA candidates the competitive advantage of being located in the fast-growing city of Columbus. I have also been awarded the Scholarship for the Americas, so it was a no-brainer to me. What surprised you the most about Fisher? The empowerment that Fisher promotes for students since the very beginning of the MBA program and how strong we can be when we work together. Why did you choose Fisher? An opportunity to be a part of and have access to an extensive network of alumni in different fields all over the world. The small class size which allows students increased access to the faculty. Then the Scholarship for Africa was a big incentive as well. What surprised you the most about Fisher? The fact that the effort to make every student successful starts even before they arrive on campus. The Career Core by the Career Management Office and the MBA Math refresher course were great programs that prepared me for the recruiting season and the academic challenge. Class you are looking forward to at Fisher: Due to my engineering undergraduate degree, all the courses are new and exciting. On-campus/community involvement or What clubs are you involved in? Black MBA. Also, Innovation Fisher and the Fisher Graduate Finance Association. Advice to prospective candidates? Choosing a business school is a tough task, and a lot of consideration goes into the final choice. I would recommend a program where you would not just be a face in the crowd, an MBA program that caters to your academic and career needs and a large city with a small-town feel. If these sound good enough, then Fisher is a good choice.

Why did you choose Fisher? The idea of being in a close-knit classroom, and learning from the best and brightest from around the world has been one of my reasons for wanting to pursue an MBA program. The Fisher College of Business is a small and diverse program that will give me the opportunity to learn and expand my horizons. The chance to work in an international consulting project and the Scholarship for Africa award offered to me also aided my decision to join the program. What surprised you the most about Fisher? The passion of the faculty and the career management teams focus on each student is amazing. I am in an environment where I am supported to succeed and where my ideas and thoughts are highly valued. Class you are looking forward to at Fisher: My favorite class is my marketing class, the professor makes learning enjoyable, and it is fantastic to learn marketing in a different way. I am the treasurer of the Black MBA Association (BMBAA), Fisher College of Business Chapter and also a member of the Association of Marketing Professionals (AMP). I am actively involved with International Friendships (IFI), a club aimed at supporting International Students at Ohio State. Advice to prospective candidates? Nothing is impossible if you put your mind to it, your greatest competition is yourself. If you can think it, you can do it!
