Fisher’s unprecedented MBA experience at The Ohio State University provides you with a graduate business education that’s Personalized, Experiential and Integrated.

Pre-Term Launch Year One Summer Year Two

Before classes start, hit the ground running with an intense 2-week Pre-Term launch. Participate in coaching, career conferences, development, a case challenge and more.

Build fundamental skills in core classes, and experiential learning as your support team preps you for an internship and the second year.

This two-year program allows for a summer internship opportunity for hands-on learning. You'll start year two with an internship reflection.

With guidance from your support team, select from electives at Fisher and Ohio State. Focus on your MBA and prepare for your career. Our optional GAP elective with an in-country immersion over spring break is encouraged.

MBA Degree Requirement Overview - 60 total credit hours*

INTEGRATED CORE COURSES - 25.5 CREDIT HOURS: The core curriculum builds a foundation across all functional areas that are critical to a complete understanding of business. Core courses are integrated into your curriculum with opportunities to connect the dots between theory and practice. Beyond the strong functional expertise emphasized in the MBA program, our graduates also possess the ability to solve problems spanning multiple functions in organizations.

EXPERIENTIAL COURSES - 7.5 CREDIT HOURS: Learning by doing is a cornerstone of Fisher’s immersive, action-based MBA experience. MBA students apply insights learned in the classroom to on-site, hands-on projects with top organizations located in Columbus, the nation’s 14th largest city, and with our partners around the world. From programs that shape business at the global level, to those focusing on maximizing social impact, Fishers’ Global Action Projects, Business Lab Projects and the Core Capstone Experience develop the critical skills and competencies that employers desire.

PERSONALIZED ELECTIVE COURSES - 27 CREDIT HOURS:  With guidance from your support team, use elective credits to personalize the Fisher MBA. Skill development areas provide flexibility and empower Fisher MBA students to be able to focus their course choices at Fisher and across Ohio State's more than 100 graduate programs. With guidance from coaches, MBA students can personalize their Fisher education with courses across The Ohio State University. Interest in law? Public policy? How about engineering? No problem. At Fisher, customization is more than a buzzword. You can make your own path.

FISHER'S STEM MBA SPECIALIZATION 

Full-Time MBA students can pursue the STEM MBA specialization, which provides career opportunities and technical skill development. International students can also remain in the U.S. for an additional two years of Optional Practical Training (OPT). 

  • 30 of 60 credit hours must be STEM      
  • 18 are already in the required core classes      
  • Choose 12 credit hours from select electives
