Christian Lampasso

Christian Lampasso is a Program Manager for the Center for Innovation Strategies. Christian’s main focus is on directing the student program he helped found create as an undergraduate student, OnRamp: a student-driven innovation accelerator. Along with OnRamp, Christian will be managing multiple other student innovation sprints and developing frameworks to create opportunities for students across campus.

Born in Buffalo, New York, Christian has always taken a great interest in math and science, especially in how the world works. As a freshman in high school, Christian moved to Detroit to pursue a career in hockey. After traveling the country to states such as Vermont, Iowa, and Nebraska, in 2014, Christian signed an offer with The Ohio State University to be a member of the Varsity Men’s Ice Hockey team. In 2017 – 2018, Christian helped the Men’s Ice Hockey team advance to the Frozen Four for the first time in 20 years. Christian graduated in December 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics through the Integrated Systems Engineering Program and a minor in Computer Information Systems

 

Christian is also dedicated to helping out in the community and has taken part in multiple masculinity and African Americans in sports focus groups and talks. In May 2016, he led a group of student-athletes to Jamaica and distributed over 1,500 shoes to children in need. Christian’s journey brings a unique perspective that can be translated into innovation and improvement for business ideas.
