Logistics Project Brief Submission

Thank you for considering Fisher’s Logistics students for a potential project. Experiential learning is a critical part of our teaching method at Fisher, and a project is a great way to offer students a hands-on learning opportunity.

Here are the requirements for a project:

  • The ideal project should be completable in eight (8) weeks. This is the length of a 1.5 credit course at The Ohio State University.
  • Your company should plan to assign a single point-of-contact (SPOC) for the students, and the faculty member who will advise them.
  • Your company should be prepared to provide adequate data, information and tools to ensure successful completion of the project by the students.
  • Note that students are rarely available in December, nor between May and August, to work on projects.

Here’s what will happen next:

  • A Logistics faculty member will review your request, and determine availability of students and faculty to support your project.
  • They will contact the person identified in the form below, to discuss ability to support and availability of resources.

Provide context for the purpose of the project with relevant background. This can include company history, current state, and core challenges/complications that have led to the current need(s).
How would you summarize the core need(s) in one or a few questions? This/these will be the over-arching "aim" for the project group.
If this project must be completed by a certain date, please include that information here.
If there’s anything else we need to know about the project, let us know here.
Indicate if you have already been in communication with someone at Ohio State about this potential project.
