Mary Helen Wolfe Chandler Future Women in Business Summit

Fisher College of Business has proudly fostered a diverse, supportive and inclusive learning environment since the college’s earliest days when Mary Helen Wolfe studied business at what was then known as the College of Commerce and Journalism at Ohio State. Wolfe, who graduated in 1919, became the first recorded female graduate of the college, and nearly 100 years later, Fisher continues to provide an enriching educational experience for women seeking a degree from a top-ranked business college.

Purpose

The Mary Helen Wolfe Chandler Future Women in Business Summit aims to prepare and educate young women about the world of business and introduce attendees to a variety of topics within business while experiencing Ohio State University and Fisher College of Business.

  • Interact with successful Fisher alumni and current students
  • Participate in workshops with top Fisher College of Business faculty and company recruiters
  • Develop professional development and first-impression skills through etiquette lunch
  • Connect with like-minded women interested in business
  • Learn about the college application process and Ohio State University

Application Criteria

The inaugural event aims to bring a group of diverse and talented young women together. This is a selective program aimed to target:

  • Rising high school seniors in Ohio
  • First generation college students and/or
  • Underrepresented minority students
  • Minimum 3.3 cumulative high school GPA

Funding and Travel

The event is funded by the Fisher College of Business and corporate partner Deloitte. Participants only need to cover transportation to and from the event and personal expenses. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
