Kathleen L. Sharp, MBOE Class of 2015, was a dedicated healthcare professional with over 30 years of experience. Her work received national recognition for its quality and innovation. Kathleen credited the MBOE program with expanding her career and her ability to make a positive impact in healthcare. Building on her lifelong healthcare career, Kathleen used the Lean Six Sigma methodology to drive improvements in patient care by simplifying processes and engaging both care teams and patients. In her view, success in healthcare is rooted in a “people-first” approach.
Kathleen encouraged future leaders to stay curious, learn continuously, and always speak the language of the people they serve. She emphasized approaching work as a partner, not as an expert, to foster collaboration. This scholarship provides one or more awards to students enrolled in the MBOE program, who have a passion for healthcare and demonstrate financial need.
Thanks to the generosity and enduring vision of Kathleen, her passion for continuous improvement in healthcare lives on through this scholarship. In her memory, this scholarship supports MBOE students who share her commitment to improving patient care and driving meaningful change in healthcare.
