Trey Addison serves as the Interim Executive Director of the Center for Real Estate at The Ohio State University. In this role, he leads the Center’s strategic initiatives across thought leadership, student engagement, academic research, and executive education, strengthening the university’s position as a leader in real estate education and industry collaboration.
Prior to joining Ohio State, Addison co-founded Nascent Group Holdings, where he directed acquisition strategy, portfolio investment alignment, and development operations. Under his leadership, the firm invested in multiple real estate ventures and small-cap companies throughout Ohio. His real estate and private equity investments have consistently outperformed standard private equity benchmarks.
Addison’s professional background spans business, government, and government affairs. Before co-founding NGH, he held executive roles within some of the largest nonprofit organizations in the United States, leading government relations and public affairs efforts that drove legislative and regulatory impact affecting millions of consumers. Earlier in his career, he worked for a United States Senator, gaining firsthand experience in federal policymaking.
He earned his Executive MBA from the Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University, along with an Executive in Energy Certificate from Fisher. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Toledo.
Addison has served in several gubernatorial and presidential appointments, including appointments by Mike DeWine to the Ohio Alzheimer’s and Dementia State Taskforce and the Nursing Home Quality and Accountability Task Force. He also previously served as a Presidential and Governor Appointee to the Selective Service System Board.
In addition to his executive leadership, Addison serves as an Adjunct Lecturer at the Fisher College of Business, a Venture Mentor with the Buckeye Venture Mentoring Service at Ohio State, and an advisory board member to several Ohio-based companies. He is also a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity.
Trey resides in Jefferson Township, Ohio, with his wife and two children.
