Nearly every aspect of the Fisher experience is made possible by donors’ support, whether that’s the creation of innovative programs, the awarding of life-changing scholarships or access to enriching global opportunities. Support of these experiences equips students with the skills and perspectives to serve as the next generation of business leaders.

Students share how donors' support has changed their lives.

Greatest Priorities

Private investment from all Fisher stakeholders – our alumni, friends and corporate partners – is critical to Fisher's success. Every gift – no matter the amount – makes a difference. There are multiple areas to support, including those areas that will directly impact our students, faculty and programs. Here are some of our greatest priorities for the college.

  • Scholarships

I'm grateful for the huge impact of scholarships in my life. They are helping me and my family financially while allowing me to focus on my education, my involvement on campus and my future.

Fisher remains committed to providing access to a world-class education to all students through scholarships. By supporting scholarships at Fisher, you are providing students with the opportunity to change his or her life. Your gift ensures that talented students have every opportunity to become leaders who positively impact their communities and the world!

You can establish your own named scholarship fund to support a variety of student financial needs, including recruitment scholarships, merit- or need-based scholarships or scholarships that provide support for students that align with your personal passions.

  • Leadership

What I’ve recognized and what I firmly believe, is that leadership is not just important, it’s the most important thing.

Leslie H. Wexner (BSBA '59), Chairman and CEO of L Brands

Once we've brought these talented students to campus, we need to deliver on and exceed their expectations of academic rigor in and out of the classroom. In 2016, the college launched the newly created Leadership Initiative. The Initiative will create and cultivate principle-based leadership as a way to further accelerate student development and enhance career and life success through a variety of programs.

Max M. Fisher once described his alma mater as a place that provided him with opportunities to take risks, shape his own future and develop a base to leave a significant impression on the world of business. That vision is what still fuels Fisher today.

There are many opportunities to support the Leadership Initiative at Fisher—from named leadership endowment to making annual gifts. You have the ability to create an impact on campus.

  • Global Business

The value of a global perspective is highly sought after by not only our recruiters but our students as well. However, less than 20% of Fisher students currently have a global experience during their time at Fisher. The largest decision factor for students is cost; roughly 60% of students surveyed who did not pursue a global experience stated their decision was due to financial reasons. A semester-long global experience can cost an additional $7,000 in airfare and living expenses, while a shorter-term expedition averages $4,000.

Your gift to the Joseph A. Alutto Global Leadership Initiative can help our students make their dreams a reality. Your support will be matched dollar-for-dollar from a fund established by Ohio State in honor of the college's former Dean and university's former executive vice president and provost, Joseph A. Alutto.

  • Faculty

Exceptional students are influenced by exceptional thought leaders. Your support of our faculty's commitment to the research and teaching that is impacting industry and shaping the next generation of business leaders will help set Fisher apart. Due to the high interest in our programs, there is a need to bring more faculty and industry experts into our classrooms.

Your gift can be used to support faculty and teaching through a variety of ways. You can establish a named professorship or chair in one of our academic departments.

  • Innovation

The ability to respond to ever changing needs in business education is a critical issue for the continued success of the college. Your support of the Ohio State Fund for Fisher or the additional gift of creating your personal named Dean's Innovation Fund fuels our mission to go beyond the classroom to impact our students and the business community in meaningful ways and push past the limits of usual business education.

Whether you were inspired to give because of the impact Fisher has had on your business education or career or to honor a professor or memorialize a loved one, every donor's story is unique. We look forward to learning yours.

There are many ways to make your gift to Fisher.
