Fisher Summer Academy

Fisher Summer Academy is a transformative, weeklong journey where Columbus high school students explore the power of business to shape their futures and their communities.

The Fisher Summer Academy at The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business is a one-week, residential summer experience designed to introduce Columbus City high school students to the world of business—through the dynamic lens of sports and entertainment. With support from the City of Columbus, this immersive program provides students and their families with a clear understanding of what a Fisher degree entails, while offering direct exposure to the many career pathways a business education can unlock. Participants engage with award-winning faculty, Fisher alumni, and industry professionals in business, law, and entertainment. Past leaders have included representatives from the Cleveland Cavaliers, Columbus Crew, and producers from the hit show All American.

Beyond classroom sessions, students participate in workshops, campus experiences, and a “big idea” pitch competition, where they propose innovative solutions to improve life for youth in Columbus—culminating in presentations to Columbus City leaders. With mentorship from Ohio State faculty, local educators, and accomplished professionals, students leave the Academy empowered, inspired, and ready to imagine their future in business.
